Sigona Golf Club Membership Application Procedure
Requirements, documents, and timelines to guide prospective members through a smooth membership application.
An applicant needs to be proposed for membership by a current member of Sigona Golf Club Limited and he/she must have held such membership for more than two (2) years. The account of the proposing member must also be “settled” (i.e.) without any overdue arrears.
Step One
The proposer, on writing to the Honorary Secretary (through the General Manager), shall be provided with a “Proposer’s Form” which should be signed by the proposer and seconder and returned to the Honorary Secretary (through the General Manager).
Step Two
The Honorary Secretary shall on receipt of the Proposer’s Form (duly filled) send out an application form to the proposer but this form should be filled by the applicant.
Step Three
Once fully filled the application form should be returned to the Honorary Secretary with confirmation of payment of at least 50% of the applicable Entrance Fees
Step Four
Once the form and the payment is received, the name of the applicant shall be posted on the noticeboard for a minimum of 30 days. Upon the expiry of the 30 days on the noticeboard the proposer is called to introduce the applicant to the Balloting Committee for the assessment of the applicant’s suitability after which one is balloted and recommended to the Board for approval to become a full member of the Club.
Step Five
Upon election as a New Member the applicant shall be required to pay any outstanding Entrances Fees and the applicable full Subscription fees.
